Analog-Digital Liminality, Personal Data, Data Humanism, Memory
As a third culture kid in Shanghai and Dallas from 18 months of age till adulthood, Ye Won’s every day has been—and continues to be—a blur of cultures, languages, and perspectives. Having navigated convergent territories, Ye Won found herself both sensitive to and fascinated by liminal spaces. Also a lover of arts and nature, she was naturally drawn to TX Lab’s vision and realms of exploration, for the in-between spaces of interest have always been hers as well.
After studying psychology at Seoul National University, Ye Won is now a master’s student at the TX Creative Media Lab in KAIST. She is interested in analog-digital liminality, for it encompasses stories of generations, space, movement, city, and nature. By blending her academic knowledge, appreciation of beauty and excellence, personal experiences, and imaginative nature, she aims to actualize an exciting, welcoming, healthy culture for a good world with smiling hearts.
