Doyo Choi is a Ph.D. student at the TX CreativeMedia Lab in the KAIST, under the guidance of Prof. Jinjoon Lee. With a background in Psychology from Sungkyunkwan University, she previously worked as a Research Assistant at Korea University, refining her expertise in experimental research and data analysis.
At TX Lab, she has played a pivotal role in planning, managing, and conducting research for various art projects. Her current research focuses on Brain Art, exploring the creative potential of EEG-based generative systems and neuroaesthetic experiences. By integrating neurophysiological data into new media art, she investigates how brain activity can be translated into interactive and immersive artistic expressions.
With a strong interest in mediated artwork, she critically examines past approaches and identifies new opportunities in the field. Drawing on her psychology background, she seeks to deepen the understanding of cognitive and emotional responses to neuro-mediated art, ultimately aiming to push the boundaries of human-computer interaction in artistic practice.
